Sophie founded The Young Mind Clinic in Sydney where she is the Clinic Director, providing guidance and leadership to the team of psychologists, supported by wonderful admin www.theyoungmindclinic.com. Currently, Sophie's clinical work involves providing Psychology Board Approved Supervision via teleconference to psychologists, school counsellors and other health professionals in many different locations in the area of child and adolescent therapy and assessment. Sophie pairs a warm and reflective approach with knowledge of evidence based practice in her work with supervisees.

CLINICAL SUPERVISION
Sophie provides board approved supervision to registered psychologists, including registrars in the area of Clinical and Ed/Dev practice endorsement, school counsellors and other health professionals seeking supervision in the area of child and adolescent practice.
She can assist in the area of general case formulation and treatment planning to safety planning and risk assessment. She has experience over two decades working with young clients presenting with anxiety, mood difficulties, OCD, tics, perfectionism, procrastination, social and friendship concerns, and neurodivergence. She has a special interest in helping parents manage tricky behaviours and improve their connection to their child. Given her substantial experience working within a school context, she is also able to support school counsellors from the perspective of navigating the case management and counselling process within this context and understand the unique organisational issues associated with schools and how health professionals form their identity within them as useful sources of information, support of students and families and guidance for staff.
